Mountain railways
Operator status for today
The operator lists the Zugspitze cable car, both cogwheel railway sections, glacier cable car and Alpspitz, Kreuzeck, Hochalm and Wank cable cars as open. AlpspiX is open; the Osterfelder nature trail and family sledging slope are closed. Many high-level trails, including Hupfleitenjoch/Höllental routes and the Alpspitze via ferratas, are also closed. Hausberg cable car: seasonal break until winter operation. Eckbauer: regular hours 09:00–17:00, last uphill departure 16:30; maintenance closure 9 November–4 December 2026 according to the operator. Graseck: regular hours 07:15–21:45; weather-related restrictions possible. Regular hours do not confirm uninterrupted operation. Operator websites read on 2 November 2026 at around 11:01 (Europe/Berlin).
Partnach Gorge open – opens at 12:00 on 5 November.
The operator lists the gorge as open. On Thursday, 5 November 2026, it will open at 12:00 because of essential air transport for the new bridge. Hausberg and Kreuzeck-/Alpspitzbahn stops are omitted; Hammersbach is omitted towards Garmisch, while buses towards Grainau use the replacement stop at Zugspitzstraße/Höllentalstraße. Garmisch local buses
Routes 321, 322, 324 and 325: According to the operator, routes 321/322 have run hourly from 09:00–18:00, Monday to Friday, since 1 October 2026; this also applies today, Monday. The roadworks notice names a replacement stop at Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten on Lagerhausstraße; Bahnhof and Michael-Ende-Kurpark are not served in either direction. No end date for the diversion is confirmed. Source read on 2 November 2026 at around 11:01 (Europe/Berlin); individual cancellations have not been separately confirmed.
Grainau & Eibsee
Routes 314, 315 and 323: The local overview contains PDF timetables and a route calendar. Michael-Ende-Kurpark is not served. At the railway station, use the replacement stop outside Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten; route 323 instead departs from the rail-replacement bus stop at the station. Bus & train travel included
Free travel in MVV zones 9–12, including local buses. On regional trains, the card is valid in second class.

To Grainau: route 314 to Badersee, 315 to Dorfplatz. Murnau (zone 8) and Eibsee bus 323 are not included.

The card is personal. Carry valid official photo ID for ticket inspections. Before travelling beyond its area of validity, check which additional ticket you need.
